Christmas at Kew
Starting on November 15th, in Kew Gardens, the long-awaited Christmas at Kew is open from 4.20 pm until 10 pm. The 300-acre botanic garden transforms into a winter wonderland, adorned with glistening lights and enchanting illuminations. Walk past glass houses with kaleidoscopic projections, explore shimmering tunnels of light, and witness trees bathed in jewel-bright colors. Warm up with winter snacks, and remember to visit the cave to say hello to Father Christmas. Hurry, as Christmas at Kew tends to sell out quickly!
Skate at Somerset House
A winter in London is not complete without a spin around Somerset House's iconic ice rink with Skate at Somerset House. Glide across the grand neoclassical courtyard on the 900-square-metre outdoor rink, with a majestic Christmas tree at its center reaching forty feet high. This year, the rink has chosen a Swiss tourism theme, offering sessions inspired by Swiss regions. Experience the legendary weekend Skate Lates with DJ sets from the city's best clubs! EFG London Jazz Festival

With full days of live performances, from November 10th to 19th, more than 300 shows in 70 venues across London will feature innovative and well-respected artists. From the Barbican to independent jazz clubs, the festival offers a wide range of diverse performances. Look out for unique collaborations in the 'New Creations' series and acclaimed artists in the 'Jazz Visionaries' and 'Icon' series, with names like Emeli Sandé and Norah Jones. Southbank Center Winter Market
Every winter, Southbank Centre transforms into a frosty wonderland featuring Alpine-style cabins, gift sales, hot drinks, and snacks at the Southbank Center Winter Market set along the beautiful Thames. Jimmy’s Winter Lodge offers heated riverside snowglobes for a cozy experience, complete with cheese fondue and various international cuisines. Explore gifts, jewelry, and decorations crafted by independent designers while enjoying mulled wine and breathtaking riverside views. The market is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 11 pm.
The Modern Marketplace
This stunning interior fair is held twice a year, attracting thousands of people who come to see over 65 of the top dealers and Britain’s best contemporary designers. The beauty of the midcentury modern design at The Modern Marketplace, or ‘Midmo’, attracts a huge following of interior designers, architects, and even celebrities! This interior fair is nothing short of heaven for anyone who appreciates clean lines and functional elegance. From rare Hans Wegner chairs to contemporary designs, explore a mix of architectural gems and sustainable finds. The event will be held on Sunday, November 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in Dulwich Peckham London. Reserve your tickets for a chance to explore some of the most impressive dealers and designers. In honor of Midcentury Modern’s 20th birthday, there will be a choir performing and even a giant Polaroid photo booth. Shop amongst design geniuses and celebrate the beauty of midcentury design.
Free Friday Lunchtime Concert at London Symphony Orchestra
Enjoy a Free Friday lunchtime concert at the London Symphony Orchestra featuring performances from small groups from the orchestra or Guildhall School musicians. These up close and personal concerts include casual introductions and question-and-answer sessions at the end of each performance; a wonderful opportunity to thoroughly experience classical music. The event is planned to take place on Friday November 17th. Entry is free! Doors open at noon and the music begins at 12.30 pm.
